Mission

Through collaborative research, the Maine Institute for Human Genetics and Health will develop as a magnet organization for the interdisciplinary application of human genetics, environmental science, regenerative medicine, and their associated emerging technologies, to create, develop and test effective strategies which continuously improve patient care in its chosen focus programs in rural communities.

Vision

Maine Institute for Human Genetics and Health is a discovery organization engaged in human translational and exploratory clinical research which will lead to less cancer and reduce the impact of other chronic diseases in rural communities.
